Father Lacombe High School opened in September 1978. Our school was named after Father Albert Lacombe (1827-1916), an Oblate priest and missionary who profoundly influenced the history of Western Canada. As the church's spokesperson for the prairies, Father Lacombe played a significant role in influencing government policy, as well as helping to settle the prairies. We are a high school (grades 10-12) located in central Calgary that serves our neighbouring junior high schools: Bishop Kidd, Holy Cross, St. Martha and St. Rose. We are also an International Baccalaureate School, for which we draw Catholic students from the north half of Calgary. We offer a wide selection of classes that challenge all students, as well as many exciting extra-curricular activities. For more information about various aspects of Father Lacombe High School please visit other areas of our site.
